We are a new 72 bed state of the art freestanding Long Term Acute Care Hospital located in the Amarillo Medical Center. We offer 12 ICU beds, have a private dialysis unit for treatment of acute and chronic dialysis and a wound care program led by a Certified Wound and Ostomy Certified Nurse.

We specialize in complex medical conditions, ventilator weaning, infectious diseases of all types, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

We offer spacious private rooms and have physicians on site20 hours per day. 24hour physician coverage on all holidays and weekends. Our specialized in house diagnostic unit is equipped with the latest equipment and our special procedures room is available for all procedures requiring conscious sedation.

The management team has extensive ICU and LTACH experience and have worked together for many years as a cohesive team.

Out medical staff is comprised of physician of diverse specialties that address a wide range of complex medical needs and conditions.

We offer a full service , Rehabilitation therapy department with Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy available to meet patient needs.

We offer cardiac care, telemetry monitories, specialized bariatric care, specialized post- surgical care, chronic and acute dialysis and PCA pumps as well as ICU drips as needed. We have a very low infection rate and 68 % of our patients are discharged home. Our patient satisfaction rates are 98% or higher is recommending us to others.
We have a registered dietician on staff and culinary trained chefs.
We have in house radiology, Flouroscopy, CT and ultrasound services.

Special procedures include:
-Mild, moderate /conscious sedation
-Aspiration: abdominal paracentesis, joint, pericardial, thoracentesis, transtracheal
-Biopsy: aspiration biopsy, bone marrow, liver, pleural renal
-Cardiac/respiratory; cardioversion, chest tube placement, EKG interpretation, esophageal dilation, intubation, and temporary pacemaker insertion.
-Endoscopy: bronchoscop0y, colonoscopy gastroscopy/EGD, laryngoscopy, and proctosigmoidoscopy, with biopsy
-IV or catheter placement: chemotherapy(non vesicant), hemodialysis catherter placement and dialysis management, indwelling arterial cannula placement and monitoring, joint injection, central line catheter placement, lumbar puncture, percutaqneous endoscopic gastromy (PEG placement, peritoneal dialysis cathether placement and dialysis management, PICC line placement, total parenteral nutrition
-Ventilator management
-Woundcare; closure, debridement, grafting and I&D of abscess
